“How Has a Tree Helped You Today?” by Carla Friend

How has a tree helped you today,
How has a tree helped you today,
How has a tree helped you today,
Oh let us count the ways!

Take a deep breath,
Take a deep breath.
You know the air we breath,
It comes from trees!

How has a tree helped you today,
How has a tree helped you today,
How has a tree helped you today,
Oh let us count the ways!

Eat an apple,
Eat an apple.
You know the fruit we eat,
It comes from trees!

How has a tree helped you today…(etc)

Read a book,
Read a book,
You know the paper we see,
It comes from trees!

How has a tree helped you today…(etc)

Sit in the shade
On a hot summer day.
You know the shade we need,
It comes from trees!

How has a tree helped you today,
How has a tree helped you today,
How has a tree helped you today,
Oh let us count the ways!

“I’m a Tree” by Ellen Allard

I’m a tree, I’m a tree
I’m a tree and that is what I want to be
I’m a tree, I’m a tree
With my branches reaching way up to the sky
Uh oh uh oh (uh oh uh oh).

You can ask me if I want to be a watermelon.
(do you want to be a watermelon?)
NO!!!
You can ask me if I want to be a gorilla.
(do you want to be a gorilla?)
NO!!!
You can ask me if I want to be a _____.
(do you want to be a ___?)
NO!!!
A tree is what I want to be.
Eitz Chayim Hi!

I’m a tree, I’m a tree
I’m a tree and that is what I want to be
I’m a tree, I’m a tree
With my branches reaching way up to the sky
Uh oh uh oh (uh oh uh oh).

..etc

“Tu Tu Tu B’Shevat” by Carol Boyd Leon

Tu, Tu, Tu B’shevat,
Tu B’shevat is on its way.
Clap, clap, clap our hands,
It’s a happy holiday.
Stamp, stamp, stamp our feet,
Now’s the time to sing and play
‘Cause Tu B’shevat’s a birthday,
The birthday of the trees.

Plant, plant, plant a seed,
Plant a seed right in the ground.
Rain, rain, rain will fall,
Raindrops falling all around.
Sun, sun, sun will shine,
Shining brightly in the sky
To help the trees grow up so high,
Help them grow so high.

Grow, grow, start to grow
Like the trees we see outside.
Stretch, stretch, stretch up high,
Branches reaching very wide.
Sway, sway side to side,
Leaves are dancing in the breeze
To celebrate a birthday,
The birthday of the trees.
